Three years ago, ASBU acquired the terrestrial, satellite and cable TV broadcasting rights in the Arab region for international track and field competitions, including the 2018 Track and Field Diamond League games, which feature 15 competitions throughout the season. Negotiations with the rights owners were long and painstaking, ultimately leading to ASBU recovering these important rights that had been granted to other broadcasters over recent years. It should be noted that two Arab cities, Doha and Rabat, will be among the 15 Diamond League host cities.
