He expressed confidence that cooperation and coordination between the General Secretariat and Arab organizations would continue in the next phase.

Through presentations and reports, they highlighted a range of programmes, initiatives, and projects implemented across development, economic, social, scientific, and media fields.
ASBU Presents a Decade of Development, Modernization and Growth
As part of these presentations, the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) presented a documentary titled “A Decade of Development, Modernization and Growth”, highlighting ASBU's achievements between 2016 and 2026. The film reviewed key milestones achieved under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, with the continuous support and close follow-up of Secretary-General His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The presentation highlighted ASBU’s efforts in strengthening media coverage of Arab and international events through the modernization of news and programme exchange systems among member broadcasters, the expansion of cooperation with regional and international broadcasting unions, and its presence in Arab regions affected by security tensions.
It also showcased ASBU’s progress in media training following the establishment of the ASBU Media Training Academy in 2017, as well as its leading role in advancing the digital transformation of the Arab audiovisual media sector. This included the modernization of exchange and broadcasting systems, the launch of advanced digital platforms, and the expansion of international technological partnerships.
The presentation also reviewed the evolution of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which in recent years has developed into a major media and cultural event combining both professional and public dimensions. It also highlighted the launch of the Arab Media Congress, which has become an annual platform for dialogue on strategic issues shaping Arab media and its future.
One of the key highlights of the presentation was the ASBU’s self-financing policy, adopted over recent years. Through this approach, ASBU has been able to launch several major investment projects aimed at strengthening its financial resources and ensuring the sustainability of its activities.
