The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) signed a cooperation agreement on News Exchange on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the ASBU headquarters in Tunis.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Abdelrahim Suleiman, ASBU Director General and Eng. Ahmed Nadeem ABU Secretary General .
This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between the two unions by facilitating the exchange of news content produced by their respective member organizations. The exchange will be carried out through each union’s dedicated platform:
On the ASBU side: ASBUVISION, which includes MENOS+ for satellite exchange and ASBU CLOUD, the cloud-based platform.
On the ABU side: ASIAVISION News Exchange.
The agreement grants member organizations of both unions free access to materials available on these platforms, with the possibility of editing or translating content upon approval from the original producer, while maintaining full editorial integrity.
Beyond fostering closer cooperation, this agreement will help amplify Arab news content and extend its reach to audiences across the Asia-Pacific region.
